Impressive Line-Up of Drive-In Movies at Loxwood Meadow

Billingshurst’s newest film venue has been established for West Sussex movie lovers.

Great for those looking to leave their four walls comfortably, Loxwood ‘s latest drive-in film screenings will allow you to watch amazing movies in the stunning English countryside.

Enjoy the thrill of a drive-in film and relish the much-anticipated night out when Loxwood Drive-In Movies launches on July 9th.

This summer, for 14 days, the big screen will illuminate Loxwood Meadows as the classical film experience has been reinvented and guests will enjoy their favorite movies while the rules of social distancing continue.

Featuring customized in-car audio and on-site meal delivery service, these special screenings are meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime event for families, couples, and friends.

Typically known for their medieval family events, blues, and jazz, Loxwood Meadow is installing a movie LED screen at Enchanted Meadow this year, showcasing a varied selection of movies for all generations every week.

Loxwood will be showing all-time favorites including Finding Nemo, A Knight ‘s Tale, Dirty Dancing, Rocket Man, and Despicable Me; and with the audio being channeled through every individual in-car sound system, the excitement is just getting better over time as a wide choice of drinks and snacks also becomes available to be delivered right to your seats.

It offers a selection of meat or plant-based burgers, corn dogs, chips, nachos, and other fried foods, and there are lots of sweets, fruit drinks, or mixed beverages. You can also write down your order or text it for smoother delivery service.

The massive state-of-the-art LED film monitor will enable the family’s matinee performances at 5 pm and evenings at 9 pm, showing every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, a never-to-be-forgotten moment.

Heather Joy, Loxwood Drive-In Movies’ spokeswoman said: “For fourteen days this summer, Loxwood Meadows will be transformed by the widescreen as the classic films are reinvented. So this American style of drive-in movies experience can make fantasies a reality and if you are more than prepared for a socially distanced, but a safe night out.”

“The films can now be booked on the website and the film days have themes: historical films on Thursdays, music on Fridays, classic hits for Saturdays and romantic films on ‘date nights’ on Sundays.

“To allow plenty of time to position and settle-in conveniently, gates will be opened starting at 3:30 pm for the matinee shows and the night movie at 7:30 pm.

“Entertainment in the form of roving performers and live shows brings a different element to these unique film evenings in addition to the selected screenings.

“Bookings must be done in advance and for the full movie program and to make reservations, feel free to visit the Loxwood Drive-In Movies website at http:/www.loxwooddriveinmovies.co.uk. Also, check out all the recent updates on their Facebook page @LoxwoodDriveInMovies.”

Visitors’ cars will be allowed to park 3 meters away from one another, and social distancing and hygiene regulations will be strictly followed at all times.

The essential restrooms shall be set at least 2 meters apart and fully complies with certain social distancing and sanitation rules, with hand sanitizers placed inside and outside and a remote queuing policy in place.
