UK lingerie brand Pour Moi has introduced its “Charity Edit” collection, with a vast range of new designs of lingerie, swimwear, loungewear as well as sportswear, the whole profit from sales will be donated to four UK charities, on the frontline battle against Covid-19.
The collection was launched on May 1 with Pour Moi committing to raise a minimum amount of 100,000 pounds, contributing 25,000 pounds each to all four charities.
UK Charities
Danielle Dover and her fellow employees at Pour Moi ‘s central fulfillment center in Macclesfield have selected four charities each to earn a share of £ 25,000 from the new line of lingerie and other items from Pour Moi.
One of them is the East Cheshire Hospice, where Dave, Danielle ‘s father, is a driver.
East Cheshire Hospice risks losing over £1 million in income following the postponement of many scheduled fundraising events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Spokeswoman Kate Bowmar stated, “The response from the business sector and the wider public has been great and demonstrates just how much the community cares.”
Age UK, Samaritans, and RISE, a victim of domestic violence charity in Brighton, where the business is now based, are also included among the chosen charities.
RISE is an independent, registered charity located in Brighton that supports individuals experiencing domestic violence.
RISE has seen more than 50 percent cent additional helpline requests since the lockdown and has seen an increasing volume of cases, which means that people who have access to their services need an increasing degree of care, especially in regards to child interaction, mental wellbeing, and accommodation.
Laurie Boult, Age UK ‘s fundraising officer, said: “Thank you very much to Pour Moi for your heartfelt assistance during this incredibly difficult period. This is a time of great distress for all, but particularly for the elderly and their loved ones.
“Age UK is committed to being there for elderly people who need our support, and specifically for somebody who has nobody else to turn to at this moment of crisis. Thank you for ensuring that we can respond to the rising needs and unparalleled demands we ‘re experiencing.
“Charity Edit” Collection
As per Michael Thomson, founder and owner of Pour Moi: “These 4 charities do great work throughout the year but are now struggling from a double whammy of substantial increased in demand for their support and services, but, a significant reduction in funding, all exacerbated by the COVID 19 pandemic.
“Like a lot of people, we were trying to ascertain what we could do to support numerous vulnerable individuals in this period of pressing need, and so the Charity Edit Collection is our way of responding. It would provide much-needed funds to charities at their greatest hour of need, as well as allowing to publicize the fantastic work that each of the charity does.”
The collection includes 115 pieces of lingerie, swimsuits, loungewear including sports apparel, all of the profits are donated equally between the four charities-AGE UK, Samaritans, East Cheshire Hospice and RISE.
All designs are spring/summer inspired, offering a wide color range of innovative lingerie solutions, colorful and eye-catching swimsuits, and newly-launched clothes as well as athletic wear.
The initial sale of Pour Moi’s ‘Charity Edit’ collection range will take place for two months, beginning on 1 May 2020 and, if successful, the campaign could take longer.
If the whole set is sold, the fundraiser can hit £ 500,000.
